Human Rights Laws in Sri Lanka

No other website makes Sri Lanka’s human rights laws and related information so easily accessible to the public. Most laws in Sri Lanka are not available electronically. Sometimes, getting copies of laws, regulations or administrative rules could be challenging even for a Sri Lankan attorney. Recognizing this difficulty, and in order to promote public awareness of human rights laws in different jurisdictions, University of Minnesota Human Rights Center made this compilation of Sri Lanka’s human rights laws available on Internet. We will update this site as and when electronic copies of more material become available.

Whether you are a researcher or just a curious surfer, this site will provide you with easy access to Sri Lanka ’s human rights laws.
